This treatment is designed to target acne, ingrown hairs, or a combination of both, based on the assessment completed during your consultation. Treatment selection is customized to reduce inflammation, prevent future breakouts, and support healthy skin function without compromising the skin barrier. Depending on your skin condition, the treatment may include targeted exfoliation, anti-inflammatory protocols, LED therapy, or laser. The goal is to address the root cause, not just surface symptoms. This treatment is especially effective for clients experiencing breakouts related to shaving, hair growth, clogged pores, or chronic irritation. Results are progressive and improve with consistency and proper homecare. Best suited for: Acne-prone skin Razor bumps and ingrown hairs Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation Inflammation caused by shaving or grooming Clients unsure whether their concern is acne or ingrowns Note: Multiple sessions may be required depending on severity and skin response. Pre-Treatment Guidelines To ensure safety and optimal results, please follow these guidelines before your appointment: Do not shave, wax, or use hair removal creams 24–48 hours prior to treatment unless otherwise instructed. Avoid exfoliants (scrubs, acids, retinol) 3–5 days before treatment. No active sun exposure or tanning 7 days prior. Avoid picking, squeezing, or irritating the skin. Discontinue use of acne prescriptions or topical medications unless cleared during your consultation. Inform your provider of any medications, recent skin treatments, or medical changes. Arrive with clean skin—no makeup, oils, or heavy products on the treatment area. Failure to follow pre-treatment instructions may result in rescheduling. Post-Treatment Guidelines Proper aftercare is critical to results and skin recovery: Do not touch, pick, or exfoliate the treated area for 3–5 days. Avoid shaving the area for 48–72 hours or as advised. No heat exposure (hot showers, saunas, steam, intense workouts) for 24–48 hours. Avoid sun exposure and always apply SPF 30+ daily. Do not use retinol, acids, or harsh products for 5–7 days. Expect mild redness or sensitivity—this is normal and temporary. Follow all recommended homecare instructions provided after treatment. For laser-based treatments, hair shedding may occur over the following weeks. Do not attempt to extract hairs manually. Lates, Cancellation and No- Show/ No Call Policy Lates There will be an 5 minute grace period for appointments before you are considered late. Later than 5 minutes will result in your appointment cancelled and a fee of $20.00 applied to future appointments. SM Body Care will try our best to accommodate you by scheduling a same-day appointment but this is not guaranteed. To schedule future appointments, the fee of $20 must be paid. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy To cancel or reschedule an appointment, SM Body Care requires a MINIMUM of 24 hours. All appointments MUST be cancelled by the client through our website. Appointments will be rescheduled once with the deposit or full amount paid previously if it was cancelled with a minimum of 24 hours. If the client does not cancel with a minimum of 24 hour notice, then the appointment if paid in full or deposit will not be honored. Cancelling and rescheduling appointments more than once will result in the deposit or appointment total to not be honored. All deposits are non-refundable and transferable once. Failure to abide by the following will result in a $20.00 fee plus half of the appointment total to book future appointments. No-Shows/ No-Emails No-Shows/ No- Emails will not be tolerated. SM Body Care will send out reminder emails but It is the client's responsibility to keep track of their appointments. In the event were the client is not sure, SM Body Care can always be contacted by email. Leave a detailed email and we will get back to you within 24 hours. There will be a fee of $50.00 that will be applied to your appointment for no-shows/ no-email. It MUST be paid in order to book future appointments. SM Body Care strives to give you affordable services in a timely manner. We respect your time so please respect ours. For any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
